The DUR-40Ex optical smoke detector is designed to identify visible smoke generated in flameless initial stage of a fire, when the material begins to smolder, i.e. generally long before the appearance of an open flame and a noticeable temperature increase. It is designed to operate in confined spaces where smoke, dust and condensation are usually unpresent. Thanks to an analogue compensation for environmental changes, it is characterized by increased resistance to changes in pressure, temperature and humidity. DUR-40Ex is an intrinsically safe detector designed for installation in explosion hazard zones.

Application:
The DUR-40Ex optical smoke detector is designed for detection of a visible smoke at a start of a fire’s flameless stage. The detector is installed behind a proper spark proof separator in explosion hazard areas. In the moment of fire hazard the detector transmits an alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel
Compatibility:
The DUR-40EX detectors can operate in lines/loops of the IGNIS 1000 or on the side line of ADC-4001M adapter in POLON 4000 fire alarm control panels.
