POLON 6000 - Distributed architecture main panel

The POLON 6000 fire alarm control panel is designed to detect and signal fire hazard after receiving information from the detectors and manual call points cooperating with it. The control panel coordinates the operation of all devices in the system and makes a decision on initiating a fire alarm, controlling signalling and fire protection devices and transmitting information to the monitoring centre or surveillance system. The POLON 6000 control panel is recommended for fire protection of various types of facilities, especially large ones, e.g. hotels, office buildings, warehouses, historic buildings, "intelligent" buildings with a large number of cooperating fire automation devices. It can be easily integrated into many existing facility security management systems on the market. The control panel meets the requirements of PN-EN 54-2 and PN-EN 54-4 standards.

Application

The POLON 6000 fire alarm control panel is designed to detect and signal a fire hazard after receiving information from the detectors and manual call points cooperating with it. The control panel coordinates the operation of all devices in the system and makes a decision on initiating a fire alarm, controlling signalling and fire protection devices and transmitting information to the monitoring centre or surveillance system.

The POLON 6000 control panel is recommended for fire protection of various types of facilities, especially large or extensive ones, e.g. hotels, office buildings, warehouses, historic buildings, “intelligent” buildings with a large number of cooperating fire automation devices. It can be easily integrated into many existing facility security management systems on the market.

Design and functionality

The POLON 6000 fire alarm control panel has been designed on concept of a modular device with a distributed architecture. It consists of many unified modules of various types, placed in standard frames, which, individually or combined in sets (the so-called nodes), can be placed in various points of the protected facility, even at a considerable distance from each other. All modules within a single node and nodes between each other are connected by a common, double (redundant) digital communication bus.

The control panel is a scalable device – it can be freely combined from modules and nodes in quantities tailored to the individual needs of the facility, and then expanded, if necessary, with other enclosures with equipment. Such a solution allows the necessary optimization the control panel equipment installed in places where it is necessary, and thus to reduce the installation costs, while ensuring very high reliability of the system. This is ensured by the use of duplicate processor controllers, communication buses, and cable connections between nodes.

The POLON 6000 control panel consists of PSO-60 control panels with a 10″ touch display, functional modules: MLD-61 and MLD-62 detection lines, MKS-60 control lines, MPK-60 relay outputs, MWS-60 potential outputs, MPW-61 high-voltage relay outputs, MWK-60 control inputs, MZP-60 power supply, MD-60 printer module and MTI-61, MTI-62, MTI-63 transmission modules. Control panels and modules are mounted in standard-sized enclosures, which can be mechanically connected to each other to form two-, three- or multiple enclosures. Mechanically connected frames form the node of the control panel. The control panel must have at least one node in which the main control panel PSO-60 number 1 is mounted. It is so called main node of the control panel and only one can be fixed in the installation. The rest of the control panel equipment consists of the so-called elevated nodes, which must be connected to the main node of the control panel.

Communication between nodes is carried out by means of a duplicated cable connection (RS-485) or a duplicated pair of optical fibers. Each node should be equipped with a power supply module. In each node of the control panel the line modules can be applied. to which detection lines and input/output elements for direct control of fire automation devices can be connected to the line modules Each elevated node can be equipped with a PSO-60 control panel that acts as an additional remote operator panel
